On this safari, we will have a chance to see the rare mountain gorillas and then visit Kidepo National Park. Our safari will take us to the southwestern and northeastern parts of the country.
This will give you a good contrast of what the country offers in terms of wildlife.
Day 1: Fly to Kisoro and Transfer to Bwindi
We will fly from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro airstrip and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The flight takes about one and a half hours.
On arrival, our guide will meet you and drive you to Bwindi. We will check in and rest for the evening.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, we will head into the forest to track the rare mountain gorillas.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking
On this day, we will track the gorillas again to spend more time with them. In the afternoon, you can take a community walk.
Day 4: Fly to Kidepo
We will fly to Kidepo National Park from Kisoro Airstrip via Entebbe International Airport. On arrival, our guide will meet you and take you to your lodge.
Day 5: Explore Kidepo National Park
We will have an early breakfast and head into the park to explore its wildlife. The park has about 86 mammal species and over 300 bird species.
Other wildlife you may see here include lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and special antelopes like the greater and lesser kudu and Bright’s gazelle.
Day 6: Explore Kidepo National Park
We will have another day to explore other areas of the park to look for animals we may have missed. We can also organize a night game drive to see night animals.
Day 7: Fly Back to Entebbe
We will take a flight back to Entebbe for your departure home.
