The best time to visit Kidepo Savannah Lodge is during the dry season, which runs from September to March. During this time, the vegetation is thin, making it easy to see wildlife, and the roads are easier to drive through.
Guests at Kidepo Savannah Lodge can stay in either safari tents or lazy camping tents. The safari tents are very comfortable and self-contained with ensuite bathrooms, hot showers, flush toilets, and cozy double, single, or twin beds covered with white linen and Maasai blankets.
Some tents are raised with verandas and balconies that have chairs, giving you clear views of nature and wildlife in the Narus Valley.
Lazy camping tents are not self-contained and share bathrooms outside. The beds are comfortable and well arranged. These tents are good for budget travelers.

Kidepo Savannah Lodge has a thatched restaurant that overlooks the Savannah and mountains. The lodge uses solar power for its kitchen, so it has a fixed menu that serves both local and international meals.
However, special meals can be arranged if requested early. Lunch is served as a two-course meal, and dinner is a three-course meal.
There is also a fully stocked bar with different drinks where you can relax and enjoy a sundowner.
