Park entry fees and penalties for Kidepo

To enter Kidepo Valley National Park, visitors must pay entry fees collected by the Uganda Wildlife Authority to help support the park. These fees are not only for people but also for vehicles like cars, motorcycles, and aircraft.

All entry fees are paid at the gates of Kidepo. The fees are valid for only 24 hours. Any extra time after this is counted as another day.

Visitors must show a valid identity card to know which category they belong to and how much they should pay. There are three groups of people: non-resident foreigners, resident foreigners, and East African citizens.

Non-resident foreigners must show a passport. Foreign residents must show a work permit, and East African citizens must show a national ID at the gate.
